Keep the Balance inside Your Home with Feng Shui Colors and Iron Wall Grilles

By Jessica Stockton

Feng Shui is the art of positioning objects in different parts of the house to create balance based on the Chinese principle of the ‘yin’ and the ‘yang’. These two elements are opposites that are placed throughout a space to create ‘balance’. According to this Chinese philosophy, Feng Shui helps improve the flow of energy, or ‘chi’ inside the home.
Locations of objects are not confined in rooms only; walls are also included and colors are used to help achieve the main objective of Feng Shui.

Here are some tips on how to use Feng Shui:

1. Understand the 5 elements of Feng Shui.
• Earth
• Fire
• Metal
• Water
• Wood
By combining different colors and elements in different rooms inside your home, you are using Feng Shui to find and keep the balance that will help positive energy flow throughout every room. The 5 elements of Feng Shui can also be combined through use of various colors of objects such as wall decors, paintings, wall colors, and any type of wall arts. Large wall grilles are an excellent way to place the appropriate Feng Shui color in the designated location.
2. The Earth element represents sustenance and constancy.
The ‘earth’-colored objects should be positioned in the northeast, southwest, and at the center of your apartment or house. ‘Earth’ colors are tan and bright yellow. The ‘Earth’ element strives to create balanced relationships with others for you.

3. The Fire element represents high levels of energy and passion.

‘Fire’ is the element that should be positioned in the southwest and northeast regions of your home. ‘Fire’ colors are purple, orange, pink, bright yellow, and red.

4. The Metal element represents clearness and precision.
‘Metal’ is the element that is ideally positioned in the northwest and west parts of your house. ‘Metal’ helps make your life clear and light. ‘Metal’ colors are white and grey.

5. The Water element represents simplicity, abundance, and newness.

‘Water’ always creates a refreshing ambiance inside the home. This is the element that is ideal for the northern, east, and southeast areas of the apartment or house. ‘Water’ colors are blue and black.

6. The Wood element represents well-being and liveliness.
‘Wood’ strives for abundance, wealth, and success. This element should be located in the southern, southeastern, and eastern parts of your home. ‘Wood’ colors are green and brown. Iron wall grilles can represent the ‘wood’, as well as the other 4 elements.

The next time you are re-modeling or re-designing any room inside your home, consider following the Feng Shui method. This ancient Chinese art of placing the appropriate colors and objects at their ideal positions inside the home will help create and maintain balance within your home and your life. Feng Shui will also increase the energy force and liveliness of your space.

By using wall decors like wall grilles and large wall decors with Feng Shui colors in their appropriate Feng Shui locations; you will surely achieve the balancing act perfectly.
