Enhance Wall Decors with 5 Tips on Use of Wall Plaques
By Jessica Stockton
Believe it or not, wall plaques are widely considered as authentic wall decors. Typical plaques look like those small wooden squares with an engraved message on gold plates, which are often given to a retiring employee as an act of gratitude. These are also the ones which indicate someone’s job title or a house number. These same plaques are also used as wall art decorations. Plaques are perfect finishing touches when combined with other forms of wall art (such as grilles, paintings, and mirrors). Any wall in your home may be transformed into something of artistic interest; but you have to choose the right plaques for the right wall. Here are some useful tips on wall plaques: 1. Select sturdy plaques. Because you want them to last longer than a few months, you may pick metal plaques. The wrought iron variety is made from pure iron, which is often used by companies. It contains low carbon and easily welded. Plaques made from wrought iron are excellent wall decors. 2. Wall plaques are used inside and outside the home. Indoors, they are creative accents on walls. Out in the gardens and patios, wall plaques add interesting details to the beauty of the surroundings. And you don’t have to worry on overdoing it, because they fill gaps to complete the picture. Plaques will still fit in when hanged behind an assortment of patio furniture pieces. 3. Spice up the bedroom walls with plaques. Hang it over the headboard of your bed, if there’s a wide blank wall. You may also hang a small group use of metal plaques, together with other wall decors, to banish the blankness. 4. Choose wall plaques that match a room. With a room that has traditional styles, use plaques with Gothic or Renaissance designs. For a chic style, add contemporary plaques. There are also natural and rural designs. Create a theme on one wall with matching wall arts and plaques. 5. To add more texture and depth to any room, hang plaques on a wall. A painted or wallpapered wall need not be boring and dull. Create a three-dimensional effect by hanging wall plaques. The blend of rough and smooth textures will surely create an appealing sight. 6. Wall plaques are also found in the hallways, or in an alcove, to break the monotony of long spaces. The eyes can feast on wall arts that are out-of-the-ordinary. 7. These plaques come in different sizes and color tones. Note the color theme of your room so that the new additions to your wall will blend and mix in with the other room details without hitch. 8. You may also choose different and contrasting shades, to break the monotony. Plaques can create a statement by putting them together as one group. |
